Our journey to soap and scents
TL;DR: We make perfectly balanced natural soaps. We <3 local. We're eco friendly (and improving!)
Thank you for taking the time to visit our store! We started soap making due to our sensitive skin (We're allergic to basically everything with a dash of eczema.) We were pregnant with our second kid at the time, and we learned about all of the harmful chemicals in our regular soaps. Even hypoallergenic soaps still "contained something-synthetic-chemical-name-oxide", and we didn't want anything harmful to get into our family's skin. Our desire to create natural items blossomed into selling what we loved at a local market, and we intend on continuing! Our soaps are specifically formulated to have creamy lather that leaves you feeling clean, but not dry.
We take pride in being open and honest with our customers about what's in our soaps, and we work with local suppliers to ensure that we know where our raw materials come from. With our oils and fragrances, we try to use as local a source as possible. We use RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) Palm oil instead of animal products for a long lasting soap. Olive and coconut oils are unfortunately not native to Illinois, but we work with a women owned company out of Des Plaines to source them! Some products in our Noble Scents products also use soy that is bought directly from Illinois farms.
We strive to keep plastic out of the environment as much as possible by utilizing recyclable materials whenever feasible. We intend to obtain all of our goods from environmentally responsible providers within one year and already reuse packaging (from all of those Amazon purchases!)
